Annie Castillo Javellana
Annie Castillo Javellana, 97, of Kapaa, passed away on Aug. 8, 2018, at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wailua Homesteads on May 31, 1921, and was head chef at Coco Palms.
She was preceded in death by husband Teodorico Javellana.
She is survived by son Theodore (Gloria) Javellana, daughter Diana (Anthony) Kam, sister Frances Kim, four grandsons, and numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Private burial services will be held.
There will be a celebration of life in the auditorium of Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, 4800 Kawaihau Road, Kapaa, on Friday, Aug. 17, from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

‘Kealoha’ Fitisemanu
Yvonne Lehuanani “Kealoha” Fitisemanu, 63, of Salt Lake City, and formerly of Anahola, passed away on Aug. 4, 2018, at the Paramount Health and Rehabilitation Center in Millcreek, Salt Lake City.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1955, at Anini.
She was preceded in death by parents Ahukini and Emalia Kealoha, brother Ahukini Abraham Kealoha and nephew Kamalei Kealoha.
She is survived by husband David Fitisemanu of Utah, son Abraham (Kim) Fitisemanu of Minnesota, brother James (Arlette) Kealoha of Oahu, sisters Elizabeth “Ulu” (Howard) Perreira of Kalaheo and HaralanLouise “Bae” Kuahiwinui of Kauai, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. and funeral services at noon Friday, Aug. 17, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Rose Park 15th Ward, Rose Park North Stake, Salt Lake City. Inurnment will follow at The Utah Veterans Cemetery, Bluffdale, Utah.
