WAIPOULI — The recent blessing of Castle and Cooke Mortgage office marks another spot being opened in The Coconut MarketPlace.
“We were one of the first tenants in this shopping center when it opened,” said Derek Kawakami, a Kauai County Councilmember. “This opening celebrates the Coconut MarketPlace’s new look, and is also a demonstration of the strong economy.”
Some of the other shops at Coconut MarketPlace include Crazy Shirts, Suzi’s Young Fashion, Island Country Markets and Jungle Rain.
The Kauai office of Castle and Cooke Mortgage joins the family of branches in Mililani, Oahu, and on Maui.
“This is the only one we’re planning on for Kauai,” said Ray Beltran, the Castle and Cooke Mortgage area manager for Hawaii. “We wanted a more central location, but found out that this location is central enough.”
Castle and Cooke Mortgage is commited to processing residential mortgages quickly and efficiently with exceptional customer service. The firm works with a variety of loan products, including FHA, VA, USADA and conventional loans.
“We want to get people into homes,” said Nalei Pokipala, a project manager from Maui. “The people here are fabulous, and I have learned a lot in the time I’ve come to help open this office. We want to help the local people get a home. If a family is interested in getting a home, we can show them how much they can afford.”
John Dispirito, a veteran of 35 years in the lending business, is the sales manager in charge of the office next to the Coconut MarketPlace management office. He is joined by mortgage officer Jack Olson.
“I have a name-brand after 35 years,” Dispirito joked. “Can I get a shirt like yours? (pointing to Beltran’s dark blue color). The good thing about this office is if anything goes wrong, all we gotta do is pound on the wall, the bosses are all next door.”
