Volunteer with Surfrider

LIHUE — Kauai’s chapter of the Surfrider Foundation will be hosting several coastal cleanup events throughout December, which are free to attend for the public.

Wednesday, Dec. 20, Net Patrol will be at Aliomanu Estates from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meet in the parking lot.

Saturday, Dec. 23, a beach cleanup will be hosted at Kealia Beach with B*RAD Foundation from 9 a.m. to noon.

Wednesday, Dec. 27, Net Patrol will be at Nukolii Beach’s rocky coastline from 4 to 6 p.m. Meet at the parking lot south of Kauai Beach Resort.

Saturday, Jan. 27, Surfrider Kauai will be teaming up with Sustainable Coastlines to take on cleaning Kalapaki Bay starting at 9 a.m.

Kauai’s chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is also looking to fill some volunteer positions, including booth captain and the sorting and weigh captain.
