The Hawaii Korean Chamber of Commerce presents the 16th annual Korean Festival Friday and Saturday at the Honolulu Hale Civic Grounds. The Korean Festival started in 2002 to mark the centennial immigration of Koreans to Hawaii.
On Friday, starting at 5 p.m., K-pop group Fantastie will be performing on stage along with South Carnival from Jeju Island, and Young Han. Saturday will feature K-pop singer Cho Eun who has many K-drama original sound tracks for “Something Happened in Bali,” “Rooftop Prince,” “Phoenix,” and “Queen of Housewives.” Saturday festivities will start from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
All of the Friday night performers will join singer Cho Eun on Saturday. The Korean Festival would not be the same without: Kim chee eating contest, Korean song contest, Korean traditional games, cultural exhibition, Korean art corner and more.
