HANAPEPE — For Laura and Rachel Everett of California, the pies and bookstore is a must-go stop on Kauai.
“We come to Kauai at least once a year,” said Jolene Everett. “And, when here, we have to come and have a slice of pie and visit the bookstore. The girls think it is the best bookstore.”
The Hanapepe Art Night has been taking place on Friday nights from 5 to 9 p.m. for the past two decades presented by the Hanapepe Economic Alliance through the “historic” main street in Hanapepe town.
“Celeste found a new spot,” said Ed Justus of the Talk Story Bookstore. “She controls the shop. We have been blessed to receive a top bookstore rating through Yelp in the state.”
Talk Story Bookstore is one of more than 16 art galleries, restaurants, and retailers who open up to the public, enhanced with the appearance of street vendors, musicians, and food trucks.
