• Shame on Hawaiian Airlines

Imagine you are traveling from Lihue to Anchorage, Alaska, or another destination not served by Hawaiian Airlines, but have to make your connection through Honolulu. Maybe you have a couple of children, and travel with two car seats, a stroller and two suitcases, not to speak of the carry-ons like diaper bags, toys, blankets, etc.

Hawaiian is the only choice from here to Honolulu but does not have flights to your final destination. Well, Hawaiian is now forcing you to collect ALL your baggage in Honolulu and re-check with your next airline there, including having to go through TSA all over again with your family.

Unbelievable, you say? So do I, but it happened to a part of our family just last night on their flight. They were lucky they made the connection.

I encourage all passengers with a similar flight situation to call Hawaiian and complain. This is unheard of! I have flown all over the world for most of my life and never seen a situation like this.
