• Stop fighting, build telescopes

Stop fighting, build telescopes

There is no one culture that overrides the right of our species to exist. That is what is at stake in the absurd fight over building telescopes in Hawaii.

We have now counted over 15,000 near Earth objects, mostly identified from Maui. It’s time for intelligent people to speak up in behalf of human awareness of what’s happening around us in our solar system.

There many good fights to fight locally for those that care. But stopping telescopes isn’t one of them.
