Mary Parraga Ruiz

Mary Parraga Ruiz, 90 years old of Kekaha, Kauai passed away on Dec. 5, 2016, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital

Born on June 25, 1926, in Kalaheo, Kauai she was a Homemaker.

She is preceded in death by; husband, John Gonsalves Ruiz; father, Louis Parraga, Sr.; mother, Mary Correa; sisters, Mildred (George) Nakea, Alice (Alfred) Reis; brother, Antone (Shirley) Parraga.

She is survived by: sons, Russell (Bari) Ruiz, Robert (Debra) Ruiz; Brothers: Louis (Margaret) Parraga, Jr. and Joseph Parraga; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Wesley Keola Kailimai

Mr. Wesley Keola Kailimai, age 77, of Hilo, Hawaii, died Dec. 9, 2016, in the Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo on April 8, 1939. He was a United States Navy Veteran, belonged to the Operating Engineers Local No. 3 and worked for various construction companies.

He is preceded in death: father, David K. Kailimai; mother, Abigail K. Kailimai and brother, Castle K. Kailimai.

He is survived by: wife, Pearl H. Kiilau Kailimai of Hilo; sons, Wesley David Keola Norio Kailimai of Hilo, Lance Kekoa Tadashi Kailimai of Oahu; brother, Jay H. Kailimai of Hilo; Sisters, Gail Kaapuni of Honomu, Maydel Matsubara of Hilo; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Dec. 20, 2016, (Tuesday) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo from 9 to 10 a.m.; “Celebration of Life” will begin at 10:30 a.m. Aloha attire is requested.
