Harold Allen Asuncion
Harold Allen Asuncion of Puhi, Kauai, passed away peacefully at his home on Nov. 26, 2016, at the age of 58. He was born on July 15, 1958, in Lihue. He was a haul cane truck driver for the Lihue Sugar Plantation for 21 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Sergio Asuncion; grandparents, Henrietta Kapuniai and Julian Ibia, Eduardo Asuncion and Maria Gandeza.
Harold is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dorene Leialoha Asuncion; daughters, Nani (Nalu) Asuncion, Maylynn (Taylor) Asuncion; sons, Brandon Kava Asuncion, Chavis Ikaika Asuncion; grandchildren, Kaiana, Kilinoe, Kawena Kai Ornellas, Zayden and Zailea Asuncion; brothers, Sergio (Francine) Asuncion, Roland Asuncion, Darryl Asuncion, and Christopher Asuncion; sisters, Leann (Randy) Watanabe, Carolyn Asuncion and Pricilla Asuncion; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at Borthwick Koloa Mortuary. Viewing and visiting with family will start at 9 a.m. Services to celebrate life will start at 10 to 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcomed.

Emiliano ‘Joven’ Queypo Macadangdang
Emiliano “Joven” Queypo Macadangdang of Koloa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 15, 2016, at the age of 79.
He was born in Bacarra Illocos Norte, Philippines, on July 20, 1937, and retired from grounds maintenance at Coco Palms.
He was preceded in death by three sisters Eusebia Steljes, Mercedes Macadangdang, Maria Andres; brother Emigdio Macadangdang.
He is survived by his wife, Estrella Barut Macadangdang; children Moises (Filomena) Macadangdang, Aida (Fortunato) Cadiente, Felix Macadangdang, Lina (Jessie) Rualizo, Pacita (Sol Abdul) Macadangdang, Eden (Dennis) Tadije, George (Analyn) Macadangdang, Marialynne (Garen) Miyahara; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, brother Flor Macadangdang; and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The celebration of life will take place on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa from 8 to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
