Week of Giving starts Monday

KILAUEA — Malama Kauai will be celebrating Thanksgiving this year with a North Shore Week of Giving happening Monday through Thursday at locations at the Malama Kauai Community Farm. 

A tree planting for the community orchards at Malama Kauai Community Farm kicks off the week on Monday, running 3 to 6 p.m. Contact Tuula at 828-0685 ext. 20, or villageharvest@malamakauai.org.

Tuesday, there will be a youth garden planting for kids gardening education at Malama Kauai Community Farm from 1 to 5 p.m. Contact Emma at 828-0685 ext. 19, or emma@malamakauai.org.

Fruit harvesting for donations to Thanksgiving dinners and food banks will be happening on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Contact Tuula.

Thanksgiving Day, from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., volunteers will be preparing and serving community dinner at Anaina Hou and Waipa. Contact Crystal at 828-2118, or crystal@anainahou.org.
