Hahn controls Doubletails at California show

PUHI — Liz Hahn of Kauai Bettas kept following the judging on Facebook Saturday at the Kauai Community Market.

“They’re getting the auction fish ready,” Hahn said. “One of the people there said there was a fish who resembled one of mine, winning third place.”

Hahn finished the show hosted by the California Betta Society by controlling the Variety B: Doubletail class, winning two first places out of three presented, one second place award for a Solid/Patterned Female Doubletail, and two third place awards in the division.

She further piled up a first place for a Black Singletail Male in the Variety A: Longfin HM Singletail division, the largest field in the show. Hahn went on to capture seven second-place awards and three-third place awards.

She rounded out the California show with a third place in the Variety D: Shortfin Singletail division with a Patterned Show Plakat Female.
