HANALEI — The Department of Parks and Recreation is leading a public planning effort to develop a master plan for the future expansion of Black Pot Beach Park.
The Department will hold a second open house/community meeting to discuss the plan alternatives and receive input on the preferred elements of the draft master plan.
The event is scheduled on Tuesday, July 19 at the Hanalei Elementary School cafeteria:
w Open house — 4 to 5 p.m.
w Welcome/remarks by county officials – 5 to 5:15 p.m.
w Open forum – 5:15 to 8:15 p.m.
Sign-ups to speak during the open forum will start at 4 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis until all of the slots are filled. Each person will be given a two-minute time limit to speak.
Individuals who do not get a chance to speak will be asked to submit written comments that will be included as part of the meeting record.

The plan alternatives and a survey will be posted on the project website in the next few days. The survey will provide the public with another venue to provide input on the plan alternatives.
