Found bodies identified

LIHUE — Authorities have identified the bodies found Friday as those of two of the three fishermen who were reported missing last week.

The Kauai Police Department today completed the autopsies on the two men and identified them as 30-year-old Derek Keone Tomas of Pearl City, and 30-year-old Jenson Toshio Wah Bunn Loo of Mililani.

The body of 36-year-old Clint Oshima of Honolulu, was not recovered, according to a county news release.

The two bodies were located and recovered on Friday in waters near Anahola. A fisherman found one of the bodies and reported it to the fire department. A second body and a boat was found late Friday.

The Kauai Fire Department called off its active search on Sunday, the release said.

The three fishermen departed off of Haleiwa Boat Harbor on Oahu early Sunday morning last week and were supposed to return that night. Their capsized boat was found about 25 miles offshore from Haleiwa.
