Sharuga Kamakea has never been to Kauai, and took advantage of the long (!!!) weekend to visit with Terri Goo who now lives on the Big Island with Sharuga (Terri said there’s an island in Japan named like that) and Maka Cruz.
They found out that Kauai is a small place since they ran into Lenny Rapozo while checking out the Safeway at Hokulei Village.
In the meantime, the Girl Scouts were only with Larry Feinstein (he said they love kids! and even have kid-legal drinks like their own root beer) and Jim Guerber.
Shereen Ho‘opi‘i said there’s only two weeks left, and they still have all the flavors. Chris Watten’s granddaughter already made her goal, and Maia Cummings of Troop 435 and Lalea Hara of Troop 775 are getting pretty close to goal.
Bill Chase (he’ll be volunteering in Kilauea for the Democratic Presidential Poll) was passing out Bernie buttons (Jasmine Shanks of Chapulpa’s found a real nice one!) to anyone who committed to wear them. Larry and Jim both said they’re voting at Koloa.
