Sybil Nishioka is looking for food trucks to help with the monthly Saturday market (whose mom works at The Shrimp Station?) hosted by the All Saints Church in Kapaa.
Kauai lifeguard David Duncan had a “corrected” version (that should be a collector’s item) of the Junior Lifeguard state championships, and the push by the Kauai Fire Department was on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Sybil said they have a new style, now). Justin Grigorian, 7, had no problem working on the technique after watching his dad go through the briefing. Check out the fire guys at the Kauai County Farm Bureau Fair, which opens Thursday (keep that hurricane away!).
Kenny Ishii said Sam Choy was supposed to stop by the Kauai Community Market (someone had a selfie with Sam?), but better than that, Turquoise “Toto” Santos of the Kauai Beach Resort was cruising the scene. She said they have a new Saturday night buffet with King Crab.
The real Amber McClure (she said she and Nia Klutke are now “cousins”) of Moloaa Bay Coffee was home, and Sandi Kato-Klutke was nowhere to be found since she was getting lunch for the people setting up the farm fair.
