Shizuo Kaneshige of Lawai, Kauai, passed away on April 15, 2015, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. Born on April 5, 1926, in Waimea, Kauai, he was a steam generator operator with Olokele Sugar Co.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Chiyoko Kaneshige; son, Don Kaneshige; brothers, Yutaka Kaneshige and Juno Kaneshige; and sister, Aiko Kapahu.
Shizuo is survived by his son, Craig (Michele) Kaneshige of Omao; daughter, Elayne Liu of Honolulu; brother, Hayame Kaneshige of California; sister, Tomeyo Arashiro of Wailua; four grandchildren, Erin Liu, Grant Liu, Trysen Kaneshige and Tyren Kaneshige; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
