Happy Camper for May 6, 2015

Leonard Mahoe said he’s going to be doing a lot of cooking (Mother’s Day coming this weekend) after winning up the wok set up from Hawaii Gas at the recent Contractors Association of Kauai home expo.

Mahoe, a Kauai Habitat for Humanity (they have their Eleele Iluna blessing on Thursday and the Lowe’s Women Build on Saturday) homeowner, said he was totally surprised he won, but loves cooking with gas.

Larry Manuel (don’t forget the Kekaha July 4th event!) said he had to wake up at 3:30 Sunday morning to come help his niece, Miss Paradise Kauai Sarah Manuel, with her fun event benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network.

Congratulations to Sarah on a great event (Annette Hashimoto missed it because she was baby-sitting in Honolulu — how many new words did she teach?)!

Look for Jay Higa and Sally Cravens at one of the street corners today! They’ll be selling special Keiki Day papers.
