Kilauea Point offers free admission today

Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge will waive entrance fees today in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The refuge will be closed for the federal holiday on Monday. Fee-free days are scheduled each year to encourage Americans to visit their public lands and enjoy the natural and cultural experiences they offer.

Volunteers and staff at KPNWR will also offer tours from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. inside the newly restored Daniel K. Inouye Kilauea Point Lighthouse.
