WAILUA — A 29-year-old Kapaa woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries Thursday morning from a single-car crash in Wailua Homesteads.
The crash occurred on Kuamoo Road at about 2:21 a.m. just west of mile marker zero, according to a County of Kauai news release. The victim was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
According to a preliminary police report, the vehicle was traveling west on Kuamoo Road when it crossed the centerline, striking the embankment on the eastbound shoulder. The vehicle overturned and partially blocked the eastbound lane.
Police closed Kuamoo Road for approximately one hour following the crash.
