Diabetes awareness at Summer Bash on Saturday

LIHUE — Lions clubs of Kauai want to raise awareness for diabetes.

The organizations will join Kauai Diabetes Today in hosting a Summer Bash from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lihue Neighborhood Center. People participating in the free diabetes testing program are asked not to eat Saturday morning to ensure accurate results.

There will also be speakers on how to live a healthy life to prevent diabetes.

A free lunch will also be served.
