Irene Marie Brako, 66, died Friday January 24 2014 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Queens NY.
Preceded in death by her parents Charles Weiss and Ruth Schreiner Weiss. She is survived by her brothers Chip and Don and sister Susie; son Joseph, two daughters Christine and Michelle, four grandchildren and their families.
Memorial service celebrating the life of Irene is being planned by the family and will be announced. Sumiko Metivier
Sumiko Taniguchi Metivier, 92, of Honolulu, passed away at Maunalani Nursing Home on January 4, 2014. She was born on November 20, 1921 in Waimea, Kauai, she was a State of Hawaii Department of Education secretary.
She is survived by sons, Nicholas (Susan) Metivier and Charles (Susan) Metivier; daughters, Anna (Don) Sprinkle, Dolores (David) Feguson and Michele Metivier; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Baker T. Taniguchi, Eisei Taniguchi, Hisao Taniguchi and Dexter Taniguchi; sisters, Yukie Kato, Sabra Toma and Jane Okamoto.
Private services were held.
Arrangements were handled by Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary, LLC.
