Betty Jean Gomes
Betty Jean Gomes of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 21, 2014, at the age of 76. She was born in Lawai on April 12, 1937, and was the owner of Printing Services Corporation.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gomes; parents, John and Mary Santos; grandson, Aaron Pezario-Young; sister, Lillian Perreira and brother, Manuel Santos.
She is survived by three sons, Richard (Fran) Young, Robert (Pamela) Young, John (Deanna) Young; one daughter, Florence (Kevin Ono) Young-Cawaring; 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; brother, John Kenneth (Louise) Santos; sisters, Bella Ilalaole, Louise Silva; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Jon Haneberg
Jon Lawrence Haneberg of Princeville passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 28, 2014, at the age of 67. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 20, 1946, and was self-employed.
He is survived by his wife, Kelley Carswell-Haneberg; sons, Ryan (Natalie) Haneberg, Milo (Carleen) Haneberg; daughters, Kela Haneberg, Kaulana Haneberg; 4 grandchildren, Kanoe, Nakoa, Hurley and Pohai; mother, Harriet “Calley” Haneberg; sister, Calley Morgan; brother, Scott (Joyce) Haneberg, Chucky (Rose) Haneberg and other family members.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Hanalei Bay Beach Volleyball Courts with food, music and beach volleyball.

Rolland Peahu Sr.
Rolland Bernard Keonaona Peahu Sr. of Lihue passed away at home on January 30, 2014, at the age of 81. He was born in Nawiliwili, Kauai on August 30, 1932, and retired from Hawaiian Airlines and Kauai Surf.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn; first grandson, Jimmy Leake Jr.; one brother and three sisters.
He is survived by daughter, Rowena (James) Leake of Lihue; son, Rolland (fiancé, Susan Kashiwabara) Peahu of Lihue; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lani Schumacher, Laola Rapoza, both of Lihue; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on February 13, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.

Tsunao Saiki
Tsunao Saiki of Kalaheo, Kauai passed away on January 25, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. Born on September 8, 1929, he was a Machine Operator at Young Brothers and a Korean Veteran.
Preceded in death by his parents, Yutaka and Yoshiko Saiki, and brothers, Kenji Saiki, Francis Saiki, and Sadayuki Saiki.
He is survived by his wife Gertrude Saiki, son Wayne (Nadine) Saiki of Mililani, Oahu, daughter Michele (Craig) Kaneshige of Omao, Kauai; four grandchildren, Trysen Kaneshige, Tyren Kaneshige, Brandon Saiki, and D’Asha Saiki; and sisters, Midori Ogawa of Kalaheo, Kauai and Gladys Ayano Miyazaki of Kaneohe, Oahu.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, February 8, 2014, 10:00 am, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe; service will begin at 11:00 am. Casual attire and please omit flowers.

Dayne Obatake
Dayne E. Obatake of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 24, 2014, at the age of 61. He was born in Lihue on May 28, 1952, and was a carpenter and avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen Saiki; parents, Samuel “Sam” and Elsie Takata; hanai daughter, Witney Toyoda; loyal friend, Lulu; brothers, Jimmy (Cheryl Lovell) Obatake, Randy (Apryle) Obatake, Alden (Anki) Takata; sister, Marlene (Earl) Morton; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, aunties, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be announced later. Family graciously declines flowers.

Kiyoko Terao
Kiyoko Terao of Wailua Homesteads passed away at home on January 22, 2014, at the age of 94. She was born in Lihue on January 9, 1920, and retired from the State of Hawaii.
Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Terao.
She is survived by two sons, Ryne (Billie) Terao of Wailua Homesteads, Lindy (Debbie) Terao of Honolulu; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Robert Saiki, James (May) Saiki, Clifton (Florence) Saiki; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary, Makai Chapel with visitation from 5:30 p.m. and services celebrated at 6:00 p.m. Family suggests casual attire and graciously declines flowers.
