Pelagia Suetos
Pelagia “Masing” Llego Suetos of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on November 20, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. Born on December 6, 1935 in Umingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. She retired from Samuel Mahelona Hospital as a Dining Room Attendant.
She is preceded in death by: Husband, Bernardino B. Suetos, Sr.; Parents Emilio and Cresenciana Llego. She is survived by: Daughters, Adele (Max) Manera, Lihue; Patty (Mark) Dela Cruz, Oahu; Son, Emil Suetos, Las Vegas; Step-Daughters, Angelina (Benjamin) Martinez, San Diego; Olive (Salvador-deceased) Quitevis, Sr., Bremerton, WA; Sisters, Finalrin Andres, San Diego; Jane (Jimmy) Udaundo, Kapaa; Esther (Romulo) Dacuycuy, Kapaa; Brothers, Romualdo (Carmen) Llego, Kapaa; Hilario (Teodora) Llego, Kapaa; Lodevico (Rebecca) Llego, Kapaa; Elpidio (May) Llego, Alaska; Josue (Susan) Llego, Kapaa; 11 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Life will be held on December 19, 2013, at Lihue United Church. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. Service at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Kalapaki Bay Cemetery, Lihue. Casual attire is suggested.

Emmeleen Contrades
Emmeleen “Chic” Haunani Keyes Contrades, 74, of Nanakuli passed away on November 14, 2013 at Pali Momi Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu, a retired Executive Housekeeper for the Colony Hotels and Resorts Hawaii Pacific Monarch.
Preceded in death by her great-grand daughter Chloe Kaleiu’iohaunani Kahaunaele Marquez. She is survived by husband Daniel W. Contrades, Sr.; son Daniel “Kaniela” W. Contrades, Jr.; daughters Rainnette (Glenn) Nagasako, Ginger Contrades, Danielle (Israel) Padilla, Lorna “La” Contrades, Emmeleen (Dale) Eiser, and Sheila (John IV) Kapua; brother Michael Keyes; sister Mavourneen “Midge” Keyes, and sister-in-law Betty Keyes; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Memorial Chapel of the Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama Campus. Visitations will be from 12pm to 1pm. Services to follow.
Catalina Lopez
Catalina F. Lopez of Puhi passed away on December 6, 2013, at Kauai Care Center at the age of 83. She was born in Kalaheo on January 27, 1930, and was a dedicated homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lopez Sr. She is survived by her son, Louis Lopez Jr. of Puhi; sister, Ramona of Chicago and brother, Geno (Claudia) Feliciano of California; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with viewing from 11:00 a.m. and services celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

William Jessup
William Belmont Jessup of Poipu and formerly of Princeville and Reno, Nevada, Passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on November 29, 2013 At the age of 79. He was born in Oakland, California on February 23, 1934. He was a USMC fighter pilot, Hughes Aircraft Co. test pilot, and papaya grower and distributor.
Preceded in death by his Parents, William J. and Matilda Ann Jessup; wife, Linda Jessup. He is survived by: sons, William J. “Jay” (Jana) of California; Mark C. (Jennifer) of Oregon; daughter, Colleen (Sean) Kennedy of Australia; sister, Jeri Coppa-Knudson (Bill) of Nevada; care giver, Penny Jessup of Kauai, nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be sent to Kauai Hospice or the Kauai Lifeguard Association.

Noel Andaya
Noel Arcadio Andaya of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on December 3, 2013 at the age of 49. He was born on January 12, 1964, in Bacarra, Philippines.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents CiriloDomingcil and MarcelaRamil Andaya of Bacarra, Philippines; his Maternal Grandparents LoudevicaLigsay Pascual of Kalaheo, Kauai and EmilioAgiunaldo Pascual of Laoag, Philippines.
He is survived by his daughter Tehane Noelle Curammeng-Andaya of San Antonio, Texas and his son Brysen Kekai Andaya of Ewa Beach, Oahu and grand-daughter, Lilinoe L Makepa-Andaya of Kalaheo. His parents Ernest and Mining Andaya of Lihue, Kauai. His brothers Rafael (April Monica Nelson) Andaya of Santa Clara, California and Dennis(Jackie) Andaya of Lihue, Kauai. His nieces Dennisa, Jadelyn and Deidre Andaya of Lihue, Kauai. His nephews Justin Fred Potter of Lawton, Oklahoma and PauloRafael Andaya of Cupertino, California. His grand-nephew PeytonKealii Ramos-Andaya of Lihue, Kauai. Numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Lois Bergeron
Lois Elaine Bergeron of Kapaa, passed away on December 12, 2013 at the age of 86 at the Kauai Care Center in Waimea. Born on July 6, 1927 in California, she was a retired Registered Nurse.
She is survived by her two sons: Mark (Ellen) Bergeron, Paul (Dorothea) Bergeron; two Daughters: Julie Bergeron Brooks, Dr. Jeanne Bergeron; one Brother: Charles Tolton; 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great grandchildren.
Private services will be held on a later date.

Kentworth Keli’iho’omalu
Kentworth Kealaolu Keli’iho’omalu of Anahola passed away at home on December 4, 2013, at the age of 69. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 30, 1944, a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the Honolulu Fire Department.
He is survived by his sister Karla Akiona and Velma Choy of Honolulu, Hawai’i; three children, Nicole Dudley, Amber Milsap, Po’okapu Keli’iho’omalu; 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kalaheo Ward with viewing from 9:30 and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Esmenia Tagavilla
Esmenia Fernandez Visitacion Tagavilla of Hanapepe, Kauai passed away on December 9, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 88. She was born on August 8, 1925 in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Candido Tagavilla; and her parents, brothers, and sisters.
Survived by her sons, Huberto (Melba) V. Tagavilla of Memphis, Tennessee, and Russell (Andrea) Tagavilla of Hanapepe, HI; daughters, Evelyn (Bonifacio) Pascual of Kalaheo, Anita (Pepito) Bunsaan of Hanapepe, and Elfie (Armin) Tumaneng of Hanapepe; fourteen grandchildren, Roger Tagavilla, Sheila Tagavilla, Eric Tagavilla, Michelle T. Pascual, Marnelli (Osiris) Martinez, Franchette T. Pascual, Rachelle T. Pascual, Jerrold (Darcy) Tagavilla, Joanna T. Bunsaan, Russell (Katie) Tagavilla, Jr., John Clarence Tagavilla, Patria Kealoha Tagavilla, Ariel Tumaneng, and Armin Tumaneng, Jr.; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wake Services on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with visitacion from 9:00 to 10:00 am and Mass at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Beatrice “Bea” Madeline Ditmars of Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on December 7, 2013 at her residence in Poipu at the age of 82. Born on August 21, 1931 in Montana. She was a broker and partner for Los Gatos Properties, California.
Preceded in death by her father, Rex Cheff, mother, Naomi Commers, husband, Dick Ditmars. She is survived by sons, Rich Ditmars, Poipu, Eric (Lori) Ditmars, California; daughter, Teresa Ditmars, California, 3 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
A celebration of Life will be private.
