Scott Iida
Scott Benedict Kunani Iida of Lihue passed away on September 15, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 24. He was born on November 15, 1988 in Lihue, Hawaii.
He is survived by his mother Lichelle Naomi Iida, and father Jeffrey (Ruthie) Iida; two sisters, Kristina Nohealani Iida of Kapaa, and Melissa Ku’uleialoha Iida of Lihue; grandparents, Grandma Sharon B. Yamagata and Grandpa Roy Yamagata of Hanapepe, and Grandma Jean Ardna Iida and Grandpa Ronald Benedict Iida of Lihue; great-grandma Haruno Yamashiro Souza of Lihue; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins, and one nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28th 2013 at Lihue Christian Church, with visitation from 9 am. Service will begin at 10 am. The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.

Anthony Obloy
Anthony “Tony” Felix Obloy of Wailua Homesteads passed away at home on September 17, 2013 at the age of 69. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 22, 1944, a United States Air Force Veteran and retired as a retail manager from Hardware Hawaii formerly known as Hale Kauai.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Obloy of Wailua Homesteads; son, Ed Page of Kealia; daughter, Kimberly Page of Kealia; one grandson, Gage Farley of Kealia; two sisters, Mary (Joseph) Forte, Marcia Walthers; one brother, Philip Obloy all of San Diego and two nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at his residence from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Obloy family with arrangements.
Edward Tachikawa
Edward Masakatsu Tachikawa of Lihue passed away at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home on August 30, 2013, at the age of 89. He was born in Puhi, Kauai on October 12, 1923, and United States Army Veteran of WWII and was the proprietor of Eddie’s Upholstery.
He is survived by three daughters, Ella Konno of Oahu; Cheryl Tachikawa and Jan (Duane) Oshizu of Maui; 5 grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Ethel) Tachikawa; sister, Betty Steiger; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life was held privately at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Tachikawa family with arrangements.
