Ron Margolis had one super busy weekend, setting up a rest station at the Moloa‘a Fruit Stand for the Malama Pono Paradise Ride and then spending the day in the hot Anahola sun for the Kaua‘i Board of Realtors and Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity build-a-thon.
Ray Carpenter was stuck at the Heiva I Kaua‘i, lamenting the fact that a build-a-thon didn’t have a carpenter.
Stephen Spears, the Habitat director, was on site for both days as were AmeriCorps volunteers Chris Casey and Hannah Livingston.
Hats off to Milani Pimental on a great event! Even Doug Haigh was out working alongside the realtors and it’s not a Kaua‘i Board of Realtors event unless Karen Ono shows up. She had her puppy and dad in tow Saturday.
But as the dust settled on the Kaua‘i Board of Realtors, welcome to Mara Petruzziello and her dozen Canadians (who is the Canadian Filipino?) who picked up where the realtors left off.
OK, Risa Clemmons (she was chopping coconuts at the Heiva), get ready for those Canadians to pay a visit to the Anahola Marketplace!
