PO‘IPU — Kelly Foster made the trek from Po‘ipu Beach to Salt Pond in 1:09:06 to win the 2011 Halloween Race hosted by Kaua‘i Hoe Wa‘a Sunday.
The fun race opened the Kaua‘i Hoe Wa‘a racing calendar, which will run until the Kaua‘i World Challenge.

Foster touched down first overall and topped the 1K0 division.
Just a minute later, Dylan Thomas crossed the finish buoy in 1:10:08 for second overall and first in the 3K0 division, challenged by Tyrus Siale who crossed at 1:10:41 for second in the 1K0 division and third overall.
Kennie Denton crossed the line in 1:13:24 for first in the 3K50 division, Joe Rapozo following at 1:13:44 for first in the 1K40 division.
Michelle Jackson crossed at 1:19:24 for first in the 3W40 division with Phil Morgan crossing at 1:19:53 for first finish in the 1K60 division.
Sanoe Ho‘okano and Tiffany Palama, abandoning their jellyfish canopies for the race, touched at 1:23:39 for top hoors in the 2W0 division and Ryan Atwell crossed at 1:26:33 for top honors in the 3K0 division.
