Kaua‘i Island Ministries hosts an island-wide youth rally August 19 at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall, according to a news release.
The event is free to the community, and kicks of at 6 p.m. with free chili and rice and talent presentations by different church groups. The formal event will begin at 7 p.m. for a time of worship, youth presentations, a guest speaker and prize give-aways, according to the release.
The speaker, Pastor Joshua Marocco, is the Intergeneration Youth Pastor at King’s Cathedral Maui for many years, and recently was appointed site pastor for King’s Cathedral, the release states.
“Pastor Joshua will bring a timely message of ‘No Limits,’ which will challenge the youth to understand that with commitment and perseverance and the help of God and mentors, they can stretch to their limits to become winners and be successful,” the release states.
This event is drug free. The County of Kaua‘i Anti-Drug Program, island churches and Kaua‘i Island Ministries Youth and businesses are sponsoring of the event.
