Congratulations to Congresswoman Mazie Hirono for winning the U.S. “House Cat” division of the 2011 Congressional Pet Photo Contest offered by the Humane Society of the United States.
Marvin Bueconsejo said there were more than 200 entires and Hemic, a 17-year-old adopted cat from the humane society (sure miss that kim chee from Ted’s), won to “become Capitol Hill’s Top Cat.”
Hats off to Teddy Blake on hosting a great workshop on the Scenic Byways. Got to see Rupert Rowe, who was thrilled when the football team from Kamehameha Schools recently visited the Kaneiolouma he‘iau to do about 650 man-hours of work. George Thronas said there is a King Kamehameha Celebration Parade starting at 10 a.m. this morning from Vidinha Stadium. Go check it out and listen to Kellen and Lihau Paik afterwards.
