Happy Camper for Monday, June 20, 2011

Congratulations to Theresa Koki, Brenda Jose, Tobey Aguano and all the members of Team Kujo on the successful remake of Kujo’s in Kalaheo!

While everyone was celebrating the new do at Kujo’s, hula sisters from Ka Lei Mokihana o Leina‘ala were soliciting huli huli chicken sales from across the street in preparation for their trip to the Queen Liliuokalani Keiki Hula Competition as well as its fall hoike. Some of the girls were dancing at Thursday’s Kaua‘i Proud (kudos to Veronica Lovesy and the Kukui‘ula Village crew on a great job) event. Look for the full story and photos later this week.

KPD officers Darla Abbatiello-Higa and Paul Applegate couldn’t wait for the Celebration of Dads to end at Kukui Grove Center so they could check out the new family-friendly Kalaheo store.

Hats off to Jonell Kaohelauli‘i of Kukui Grove, Kenny Ishii of the Dad’s Coalition, Harvey Maeda of Kaua‘i Classic Cars and all the others who made Dads’ Day special.

Bev Brody and Mary Williamson are already getting excited about Canada Day. Any ideas?
