A surfer chases a barrel at Shipwreck’s, Monday. The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory effective through today at 6 p.m. for south-facing shores of all islands. The Hawai‘i Surf News Network is forecasting waves to drop to the 3- to 7-foot faces through the remainder of the week for south-facing shores, promising good conditions for the free Deja Vu keiki surf contest scheduled for Saturday at PK’s.
