The Xi Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society has established the Delta Kappa Gamma — Xi Chapter Scholarship to award two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors from high schools on the island of Kaua‘i who have an interest in pursuing a teaching career, or students who are already enrolled in accredited teaching programs on Kaua‘i.
These scholarships will be awarded in recognition of a student’s academic achievement, active participation in extracurricular activities and demonstrated leadership qualities. The scholarships are for one year and may not be renewed. They may be used at any two or four-year accredited institution of higher learning.
Scholarship applications are available through the counseling departments of Island School, Kaua‘i High School, Kapa‘a High School and Waimea High School plus the financial aid office of Kauai Community College.
Deadline for application submittal is April 15, 2011.
