LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Police Department arrested on Wednesday a Kapa‘a man as a result of an ongoing police investigation involving multiple incidents of online enticement, a county press release stated.
Leonard Alpeche Jr., 27, is currently in police custody facing multiple charges, including: First-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault, kidnapping and ten counts of extortion.
Alpeche was arrested without incident, and is being held in police cellblock in lieu of $465,000 bail, according to the release.
A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
The Kapa‘a man has allegedly been using the Internet for developing relationships with females using various aliases.
All known victims are Kaua‘i residents, ranging from 13 to 27 years old.
