LIHU‘E — Rachael Hinkel had a hat trick and Seri Niimi-Burch netted a goal as the KSC-Na Anela shut out Eastside Fusion, 4-0, in a Girls Under 18 game, Sunday at the North Vidinha fields.
Across the way, the GIFC and Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i battled to a pair of ties, 2-2 and 0-0, both sides effectively countering each other’s moves in the Girls Under 16 division at the Kaua‘i Soccer Association weekend games.
With the shutout, Na Anela improves to tie Eastside Fusion with both teams sharing 3-3-1 records.
During Saturday matches, the tenacious Kilauea Kilas saw their efforts bear fruit, breaking the Westside Falcons’ undefeated streak with a 2-0 win in the Boys Under 12 division.
That Kilauea win gives the Falcons a 7-1 showing while the Kilas improve to 6-2 for the top spots in the division, followed by Team Motiv-8 at 2-5 and the GIFC-BU12 at 0-7.
