Tony Ikehara
Tony Takeshi Ikehara of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Dec. 27, 2009, at age 46. He was a doctor of Optometry and a U.S. Air Force medic in the Gulf War.
He is survived by his wife Christine; parents Katherine and James (Pearl); brother Todd (Terry); sisters Tari Doo, Shayne (Damien) Ventura and Kristi; and grandmother Helen.
Private services were held at Valley of the Temples, Kaneohe.
Adoree Isobe
Adoree Sueko Isobe of Lihu‘e died Feb. 3, 2010, at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital at age 70. Born on Dec. 29, 1939, in Lihu‘e, she retired from the county of Los Angeles.
She is survived by her sisters Florence Kato of Lihu‘e, Margo Iwami of California and Audris Abella of California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held. Family requests no koden.

Joseph Esaki
Joseph Taketsugi Esaki of Kapahi died Feb. 7, 2010, at his home at age 90. Born on Dec. 30, 1919, in Yatsushiro, Japan, he was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Michiko Esaki; parents Buhachi and Hashi Esaki; sisters Shizuyo Otani and Midori Kashiwagi; and brothers Tetsuya and Tetso Esaki.
He is survived by his daughter Merle (Barney) Endo; sons Paul (Charlene) Esaki, Dennis (Hisako) Esaki, Clement (Amy) Esaki and Godwin (Janet) Esaki; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Sunday, Feb. 14, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel. Burial at Anahola Japanese Cemetery.
Aloha or casual attire is suggested.

Gabriel Medeiros
Gabriel V. Medeiros of Koloa died Feb. 4, 2010. Born on March 25, 1916, in ‘Oma‘o, he was an auto mechanic at McBryde Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia; parents Maria and Joseph Medeiros; siblings Marie, Joseph, John and Lawrence.
He is survived by his sons Denis Cabral and Paul Medeiros; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters Dorothy and Juliet.
Viewing from 11 a.m. to noon, on Feb. 12, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass and burial to follow.

George Hiroyuki Wachi of Hanapepe died Feb. 2, 2010, at Straub Clinic Hospital at age 70. Born on May 22, 1939, in Pa‘auhau, Hawai‘i, he was a retired field superintendent of Gay & Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Masatoshi and Toshiko (Tojio) Wachi.
He is survived by his wife Carol Ann (Omori) Wachi; son Jason Hiroyuki (Hazel) Wachi; daughter Cindi Ann (Alex Gann) Wachi; grandchildren Jianna Wachi, Kallen Wachi, Carissa Gann and Caitlin Gann; brothers Allen Kazuki (Fumiko) Wachi and Leslie Sueki (Darylyne) Wachi.
Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Friday, Feb. 12, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. Interment at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
