Happy birthday to Jacob Punzal who celebrated his special day by running the TriKaua‘i Triathlon before going to work at the Marriott Waiohai Beach Club, Sunday.
Kudos to Brian Curll on a great TriKaua‘i, and mahalo to Brandon Raines for following up to make sure the results came in. Kendall Andersland was one happy camper since she achieved what she set out to do, and it was just nice to see so many young athletes from all the high schools.
Troy Lazaro was an integral part of the KIF Cheerleading Championships. It would not be the same without him. And with the Lights on Rice parade coming up, is he going to be part of the Marriott float?
Hats off to Ross Shimabukuro, Jon Kobayashi and all those involved in hosting a great championship out in Waimea (how many of you know that L&L opened right across from Subway?).
Brooke Johnson was having a busy weekend as well, helping host the event introducing the Wilcox Hospital cardiology department and then helping coordinate the food drive which produced more than 2,000 pounds of food. Kelvin Moniz said it pushed them over the 10,000-pound mark.
Happy Thanksgiving, Kaua‘i! We live on one of the best places on this earth!
