LIHU‘E — The Rotary Club of Kalepa Sunrise will be holding its fourth annual golf tournament fundraiser for college scholarships and community service projects. The tournament will have an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday, Aug. 23 at Kaua‘i Lagoons.
LIHU‘E — The Rotary Club of Kalepa Sunrise will be holding its fourth annual golf tournament fundraiser for college scholarships and community service projects. The tournament will have an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday, Aug. 23 at Kaua‘i Lagoons. The format will be a three-person scramble.
The $100 entry fee will include greens fees, door prizes and an awards luncheon at Gaylord’s at Kilohana.
The Rotary Club of Kalepa Sunrise was chartered in 2002 and has donated books to King Kaumuali‘i Elementary School Library in honor of their weekly speakers. They also present an annual Teacher of the Year award to a teacher from King Kaumuali‘i Library, provide scholarships to graduating seniors on Kaua‘i, provide funds to Growing Our Own Teachers for scholarships and partner with other organizations on projects in our community.
International projects have also been accomplished, including clean water projects in Thailand, a transportation project in India, providing desks and equipment for an orphanage in Cambodia, rice projects in Thailand, a rotoplast mission to Egypt and a wheelchair project in Asia.
