Kula Elementary at Na Kamalei announces another Kula Jams benefit concert from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kaua‘i Community College Performing Arts Theatre. Donavon Frankenreiter with Friends and Jake Shimabukuro will be performing.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. to allow concert-goers to eat and bid on an artist-signed surf board and ‘ukulele. Proceeds from the event benefit the scholarship fund at Kula Elementary. Kula Elementary is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that is committed to offering a progressive, 21st century education that focuses on challenge, creativity and innovation, global awareness and social and emotional connections.
Tickets are available at the following outlets: Scotty’s Music, Kalaheo; Progressive Expressions, Koloa; Vim N Vigor, Lihu‘e; Papaya’s, Kapa‘a; Kaua‘i Sound and Music, Kapa‘a; Healthy Hut, Kilauea; Hanalei Music Strings and Things, Hanalei and Kula Elementary in Kilauea. Tickets are $40 pre-sale and $50 at the door. Tickets may also be purchased with Visa or Mastercard at (808) 635-3913. A limited number of VIP ticket packages, including preferred seating, souvenir T-shirts and backstage passes are available for $120.
