John Beralas finished with 11 points to lead the Kalepa Hillsiders to a 44-42 edge over Kapa‘a, Tuesday night.
Jeremy Robinson netted 14 points to lead Kalaheo to a 57-40 win as the 3 G’s Nation non-competitive basketball league started its playoff series for the 17 and Under division at Kapa‘a.
With the wins, both Kalepa and Kalaheo advance to meet each other in the playoffs.
In an earlier contest, Mahea Hanie-Grace, Kekai Gonsalves, Raquelle Matayoshi and Reggie McCabe scored in double digits as the Gee’s Angels flew over Kaulupono 63-10 in a 13 and Under girls game.
Hanie-Grace topped the scoring in that game with 14 points followed by Gonsalves adding a dozen points. Matayoshi and McCabe each netted 11 points in the win.
Casey Anacleto set the pace for Kaulupono with 4 points followed by Jenaiah Banasihan, Mariyah Oliver and Nicolei Banasihan adding pairs each.
Following Beralas, Kila Youn and Willis Batol added 8 points each for Kalepa followed by Travis Stine netting 5 points and Ian Lactaotao finishing with 4 points.
Kekoa Colipano and Kekoa Prem finished with 15 and 14 points, respectively to lead the Kapa‘a effort.
Following Robinson, Clareson Torres added 10 points, Devin Tavana finished with 7 points, Keelan Sakuda and Tyrus Ceria-Lux each finished with 6 points to lead the Kalaheo win.
Devone Florence paced the Gee Unit with 9 points followed by Tino Ramos ending with 7 points. Joe Duronslet and Winston Gee each netted 6 points in the effort.
