Mustang division players from the Lihu‘e Baseball League and the West Kaua‘i Baseball League take to the field starting Tuesday.
The players, selected from the leagues’ various teams, will be playing as the LBL Mustang All-Stars and the WK Mustang All-Stars at the Mustang Kaua‘i Section tournament for the right to represent the island at the state tournament.
First pitch in the best two-of-three series will go off at 4:30 p.m. at the Kalawai Ball Park.
The second game of the series will move to the Mustang field (closest to the former Kaua‘i Police Department building) on Thursday.
That game will also start at 4:30 p.m., and if a third game is necessary, it will take place on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. at a site to be determined at the Thursday game.
The Bronco division Kaua‘i Section playoff will take place on June 17 and June 19 with a third game, if needed, on June 21.
There is no charge to view the competition.
Officials from the leagues encourage fans to come out and support the young baseball players in an alcohol- and drug-free environment.
