Registration for golfers and sponsorships for the 24th Annual Central Pacific Bank/Arc of Kaua‘i Golf Tournament are still being accepted.
That is the word from Arc of Kaua‘i’s Liz Ann Vidinha, executive administrative assistant.
Vidinha, Ellen Ching, the Arc of Kaua‘i director, and Rosie Rapozo, the Arc of Kaua‘i human resources director, were on hand Thursday to accept a 20-inch flat screen television set from Janie Whitehead, the store manager for Wal-Mart in Lihu‘e.
The CPB/Arc golf tournament is scheduled for June 22 at the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course, and is the only fundraiser held by the Arc of Kaua‘i.
Registration takes place at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
Tournament format is a two-person team, Best Ball with 80 percent handicap. That handicap maximum is 36 for men and 40 for women before reduction.
Entry fee is $95 per player and includes lunch, cart and green fees with paid registration before June 6 receiving an extra mulligan.
A maximum of three mulligans can be purchased for $5 each.
An optional “Closest to the Pin” contest is available for $10 per person and is good for all four of the Par 3s at the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course.
Hole sponsorships are available at $125. A contribution between $300-$499 earns a Bronze Sponsorship, $500-$699 earns a Silver Sponsorship, $700-$999 a Gold Sponsorship, $1,000-$1,999 a Platinum Sponsorship and contributions over $2,000 earn a Diamond Sponsorship.
Platinum sponsors receive two complimentary players and Diamond sponsors include four complimentary sponsors.
In a press release from the Arc of Kaua‘i, the 2007 tournament raised $38,000 which helped to provide more than 109 children and adults with developmental disabilities with services and assistance.
Ching said the goal for this year’s tournament is to match last year’s goal of $30,000.
