Don’t forget Memorial Day, said Johnny Rabasa. The annual service is Monday starting at 10 a.m. at the Hanapepe Veterans Cemetery.
Kori Sakamoto said we’re not going to get a Lappert’s in Lihu‘e so if you want ice cream, gotta make the trip out to Koloa (the ice cream soda is good with the white choc mac cookie). Kori was playing with the Waimea girls in Kapa‘a, Tuesday night and finished with second high score below Joanna Andres (did I miss her during the KIF season?).
Jessilyn Aki does a pretty good job of tossing around the basketball — even with the knee brace and coach Cecil Gee said three-point shooters are invited to check out the 3 G’s Nation 3-point Shootout starting Saturday through July 12.
Meanwhile, David Tao is getting ready for the free (!) Father’s Day show at Kukui Grove Shopping Center which will take place June 14. It’s free! Harvey Maeda will definitely be there, and he can introduce you to all kinds of people who have pride in their wheels.
But before all of that, don’t forget to visit Rich Mendoza and all those LBL parents and players at the Bash 4 Memorial Day baseball tournament … you’ll never know who you’ll run into since there are 15 teams visiting from O‘ahu.
Tom Vallatini and Danny Miyasato were just two of the coaches out working with the players Thursday.
Above everything else, be safe (there’ll be a lot of cars on the road) and have fun!
