Marly Madayag and Laine Griffith have done it again. Next weekend starts the Kalaheo School student production of “Aladdin Jr.” and if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, hurry. Kalaheo School always puts on a good show.

And while you’re enjoying the hospitality in the school cafeteria, check out the light lady.

Dr. Greg Naganuma was at the Hanamatsuri service and said this year’s Boy Scout Makahiki is coming up April 19. But there will be a new location near the gazebo at the Kaua‘i Community College. All that open air should make for a great event, and the discounts on the admission ticket more than offsets the cost.

But today, it’s still not too late to check out Jocelyn Barriga and the Kaua‘i Special Olympics athletes who are doing their track and field events at Vidinha Stadium … and get some of the kalua and cabbage, too.

Tonight is the Miss Kaua‘i Filipina pageant at the convention hall, and one last time to see Maggi Celebrado before she gives up her crown to the new winner.

And Cathy Shanks and the PATCH people hold the annual Parent/Child Fair today at Kukui Grove. Jeannie Odo has been doing this for a long time, and it’s definitely a good event for the young people.

Linda Antipala is gearing up for Sunday’s Kaua‘i All-Girl Rodeo Association event which will take place at the CJM Country Stables starting at 10 a.m.
