Kaua‘i Humane Society gave another fun and educational spring break alternative for Kaua‘i’s keiki with Critter Camp days last month.
In March, forty children from Kekaha to Hanalei participated in a high-energy camp facilitated by Kaua‘i Humane Society humane educator, Carol Everett.
During one activity, campers got to know some of the homeless pets and created colorful posters to help the dogs and cats get adopted more quickly.
Special thanks goes to Teresa Huff, Wailana Gandeza and Hayley Walcher who took time out of their spring break and assisted in making the camps a success.
Summer Critter Camps will be two week-long sessions. The first session from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 9 to 13, and the second session, June 23 to 27.
The cost is $150.00 with scholarships available. Registration is expected to fill quickly and on a first-come first-served basis.
For more information please call Carol Everett at 632-0610 ext. 103 or carol@kauaihumane.org
