Colin Mathews
Colin Christian Mathews of Princeville died on March 28, 2008, at the age of 15. He was born in Lihu‘e and attended Kapa‘a High School as a sophomore.
Colin is survived by his parents Conrad and Linda; brother Craig; grandparents George Blake, Joanna Blake Haselwood and Marion Olson; aunt and uncles on Kaua‘i, Amanda, Camren and Devin Blake; aunt and uncle on the Mainland, George Blake Jr. and Laurie Macy; great-aunts, great uncles and numerous cousins.
Visitation with the family and viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 4, at St. Catherine Church. A rosary will be said at 10 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Kealia.

Augusta “Gussie” Louis of ‘Oma‘o died on March 30, 2008, at her home in ‘Oma‘o at the age of 83. Born on July 13, 1924, in Kapa‘a, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Louis; son Warren Louis Sr.; and daughter-in-law Drucilla “Cilla” Louis.
She is survived by her son Richard “Dicky” Louis of ‘Oma‘o; daughter-in-law Betty “BJ” Louis of ‘Oma‘o; sisters Margaret Victorino of Lihu‘e and Agnes Vasques of California; grandchildren Warren Louis of ‘Oma‘o, Richard “Ricky” (Colleen) Louis of Kalaheo, Lisa Louis of ‘Oma‘o, Derrick (Jemi) Louis of ‘Oma‘o, Kevin Louis of ‘Oma‘o and Lynell (Brady) Tokuda of Kapa‘a; great-grandchildren James (Tisha) Louis of ‘Oma‘o, Vanessa Louis of ‘Oma‘o, Bryston Louis of Kalaheo, Kelsey Camat of ‘Oma‘o, Derek Louis of ‘Oma‘o, Matthew Louis of Hanama‘ulu and Noah Louis of Hanama‘ulu; great-great-grandchildren Isaiah Louis, Keenan Aguiar and Hailey Louis of ‘Oma‘o; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mass and services will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 4, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa. Burial to follow at St. Raphael’s Church Cemetery in Koloa.

Andrew Kahiwalani Napolis of Honolulu died on March 19, 2008, at home at the age of 78. He was born on Sept. 1, 1929, in Kaua‘i.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wenonah Kekahuna Napolis; sons Anthony and Paul Napolis; daughters Cynthia Bumatay, Lorraine (Roscoe) Nishida, Theresa (Talbert) Tacbian, Sandra (David) Anderson, Veronica Naito; brother Vincent “Sonny” Napolis; sisters Elizabeth “Ah Lin” Biernat and Mary “Nani” Allison; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Winona Rosehill
Winona Ma‘ema‘e Keahi Rosehill of Kapa‘a passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Mililani, O‘ahu at the age of 80. Born in Lihu‘e, she was a retired executive secretary.
She is survived by her sons Richard J. “Kimo” Rosehill and Charles D. “Chuck” Rosehill; sisters-in-law, Portia, Rose, Ellen and Blanche.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, at Lihue Cemetery. Inurnment to follow. Casual attire is suggested. Refreshments will follow.

Darlene Mary Frenna of Kapa‘a died on March 30, 2008, at the age of 64.
Born on July 11, 1943, in Oakland, Calif., she was a bartender on Kaua’i for many years including her latest jobs at Tradewinds, Pau Hana and Riptides.
She is survived by daughters Jenee Gabrielson of California, Debbie Felt of California, Christina Nelsen of Lawa‘i and Katrina Nelsen of California; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at Lydgate Park. A reception will follow at Darlene’s home.

Kaoru Gushiken
Kaoru Gushiken of Waipahu, O‘ahu, passed away on Feb. 24, 2008, at the age of 83. Born in Makaweli, he was a retired welder for Olokele Sugar Company.
He is survived by wife Betty H. Gushiken; sons Burt H. Gushiken of Las Vegas, Lloyd M. Gushiken of Los Angeles and Earl M. Gushiken of Seattle; daughters Brenda N. Sasaki of Kalaheo and Myra Y. Tanabe of Waipahu, O‘ahu; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Mitsuyoshi Gushiken of Los Angeles; and sister Mitsuko Nakamura of Honolulu.
Private services were held.
