The Kaua‘i Seniors Golf club completed one of its tournaments over the weekend at the Wailua Golf Course and also voted on the issue of lowering the age of membership.
At the tournament, Jim Denson shot a 67 to finish two shots in front of John Rego in the A flight. Isma Yoshishige finished with a 66 in the B flight and Tatsuo Asari won the C flight with a 68.
Unlike most tournaments, the Kaua‘i Seniors Golf Tournament did not have a minimum handicap to participate.
While all together, the majority of the members voted 55-50 against lowering the age requirement for the club’s membership. Forty-two voted against it, while 34 were in favor of it.
