One game separated Wala‘au and Football Frenzy panelist Dickie Chang from a perfect week last week when he went 12-1. His lone incorrect prediction was the Kaua‘i High School versus ‘Iolani School state football semifinal prediction.
But unfortunately, all of us got that one wrong.
This was the best Chang has finished all frenzy long and in my pour attempt to go for the underdogs, I finished 8-5. David Bice and Ron Wiley were 9-4.
Felipe Bigno of ‘Ele‘ele seems to have gotten the Football Frenzy all figured out as he won with a ballot of 10-3 for the fourth time this season.
There is no crime in playing and winning multiple times. Good for you Mr. Bigno.
Truthfully, there are other people turning in ballots and playing. Bigno just happens to be one lucky guy. Three ballots were tied at 10-3 and two of them were his. He, of course, won on the tie break. I don’t think anyone was really close to predicting a 3-0 game for the Steelers.
Joining us on the panel for this final week is Lana Lopes of Lihu‘e.
As the Football Frenzy comes to a close, next week I will have the full-panel standings.
This is a good week to end on as the University of Hawai‘i Warriors aim for a perfect season and Bowl Championship Series invitation.
I hope you all turned in all your ballots.
Good luck.
