Elaine Etsuko Medeiros
Elaine Etsuko Medeiros of Kapa‘a died Oct. 16, 2007, at her home at the age of 80.
Born Nov. 1, 1926, on Kaua‘i, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Clarence Medeiros of Kapa‘a, daughters Charlene (Robert) Beach and Cynthia Medeiros; sisters Gladys Tashiro of Kalaheo and Joan Yamachika of Honolulu; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Michael Medeiros; brother Raymond Yamachika; and sisters Sahoyo Inouye, Bernice Nakashima, Sachiko Koike and Tomiko Harada.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa‘a, where memorial services will be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Henry Uichi Tamura
Henry Uichi Tamura of Kapa‘a died on Sept. 30, 2007, at the age of 75. Born in Kilauea on June 15, 1932, he was the proprietor of Tamura Floor Sanding & Finishing.
He is survived by wife Shirley Tamura; son Amos (Victoria) Tamura; daughters Julie (Dan) Groves of Kapa‘a, Kathy (Patrick) Tamura of Waimea and Denise Tamura of Kapa‘a; daughter-in-law, Liane Tamura of Anahola; grandsons David White, Jr., Colton White, Kelson Francisco, Toby Groves and Tyler Groves; granddaughter Keiko Francisco; brothers, Misao Tamura, Alan (Aileen) Tamura, Toshisada (Emiko) Tamura and Richard (Anna) Tamura; numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by son Barney Tamura.
A celebration of his life will be on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kapa‘a with visitation from 2 p.m. followed by services at 3 p.m.

Gladys Tsutae Ishii, of Hanapepe, died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Oct. 1, 2007, at the age of 82.
She was born in Anahola on Dec. 9, 1924 and retired as a sales clerk with Yoshiura Store.
She is survived by her brother Harold Y. Kakimoto of Lihu‘e and her sister Florence Mukai of Los Angeles; numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held.

Kahoku O Mana O‘io Silva of Lihu‘e died on Oct. 8, 2007.
He is survived by his parents, Robby Silva, Jr. and Nicole Estacio; brother, Po’okela Silva; paternal grandfather, Robby Silva, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Mary Silva; maternal grandparents, Ricardo and Eunice Estacio, Jr.; paternal great grandparents, Raymond and Alice Silva; maternal great grandmother, Abigail Estacio; maternal great grandparents, Mitchell (Octavia) Nakamura; paternal great grandparents, Antone (Celeste) Farias; aunties, Tiana and Shyann Silva, Lois Bactad, Natalia Estacio and three cousins.
Private family services have been held.
