Robert Alexander Iida III

Robert Alexander Iida III, of Kalaheo, died Oct. 15, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 20.

Born March 3, 1987, on Kaua‘i, he was a laborer.

Preceded in death by his father Robert A. Iida Jr. and grandfather Robert A. Iida Sr., he is survived by his mother JoAnn Yadao; sisters Angela (Byron) Reis and Tiannah (Colin) Iida; brothers Alvin (Tricia) Reis and Tyson (Marla) Iida; grandparents John and Maryann Yadao Frias and Jeanette Poe; hanai father Guy Ka-ne; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at Po‘ipu Beach Park.

Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

Genevieve B. Divina Genevieve B. Divina, of Waimea, died Oct. 14, 2007, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 77.

Born April 20, 1930, in Hawai‘i, she was a gardener.

She is survived by son Anthony (Fay) Divina; sisters Hazel Faccentti of Utah, Anna Mae Kona of Waimea, Mary Jane Cabral of Lawa‘i, and Rose Poirier of Waimea; brother John B. Rapozo of Hanapepe; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Inurnment to follow. Casual attire is suggested.

Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.


Mariano “Bo” Pacleb

Mariano “Bo” Pacleb of Kapa‘a died at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on Oct. 4, 2007, at the age of 73. 

He was born in Kapaia on Dec. 28, 1933, and was the proprietor of Bo’s Masonry Service.

Preceded in death by his parents, Marcelo and Salome Pacleb, he is survived by his long-time companion Kim Look Chang of Kapa‘a, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Veterans’ Cemetery Pavilion in Hanapepe. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Veterans’ Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Pacleb family with arrangements.  


Ceferina Viloria Udarbe

Ceferina Viloria Udarbe of Kekaha died Oct. 9, 2007, at her home at the age of 63.

Born Nov. 27, 1943, in the Philippines, she was a room attendant for the Hyatt.

She is survived by her husband Estanislao Udarbe; sons Edgar (Wendy) Udarbe of Kekaha, Manuel (Solmarie) Udarbe of Wahiawa, and Estanislao Udarbe Jr. of Koloa; daughter Evangeline (Marnie) Fernandez of ‘Ele‘ele; mother Victoria Viloria of Kekaha; grandchildren Eddie Joe, Paul, Darrin, Veronica, Abigail and Brennen; brothers Rico (Emma) Viloria of Hanama‘ulu; Felix (Lina) Viloria, Pabling (Gloria) Viloria, Juling (Norma) Viloria, ad Emie (Nena) Viloria, all of the Philippines; sisters Gloria Viloria of Koloa and Merlita (Paul) Pimienta of the Philippines; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Alfredo Viloria and grandson Thomas Isaiah Udarbe.

Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa and again from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha where services will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
