Edsel Lactaotao and Jacob Lewis ran for two touchdowns apiece to lead the Kapa‘a Eagles JPW to a 32-6 win over the Kekaha JPW, Oct. 6 at the Kaua‘i Pop Warner Association games in Hanapepe Stadium.
Lewis opened the scorebooks with a 36-yard score and closed the books on a 15-yard scoring run.
Lactaotao added a 63-yard score in the first quarter and peeled off a 50-yard score in the second quarter.
Aaron Cummings Jr., who ran in the point-after effort following Lactaotao’s second quarter TD, rounded out the Kapa‘a scoring in the third frame on a 5-yard score.
Following Lewis’ opening TD at the 6:43 mark in the first quarter, Kekaha answered on the ensuing possession as Kairus Gampong connected with Matthew Garcia on a 41-yard scoring pass.
A 51-yard touchdown pass coupled with a point-after boot gave the Kekaha Midgets its 8-0 win over the Kapa‘a Eagles.
The Hanapepe Colts Midget team picked up two first-quarter TDs enroute to its 26-0 shutout over Lihu‘e.
Moises Fierro and Taylen Acoba both scored in the opening stanza, Fierro charging 11 yards to paydirt and Acoba picking up a fumble for a 41-yard runback for the score.
With both point-after kicks failing, and no scores in the second period, Hanapepe took a 12-0 lead at the half.
Jace Delos Reyes upped the ante late in the third on a 3-yard TD charge with Wyatt Chicoine booting the point-after for a 20-0 bulge at the 2:30 mark.
With less than four minutes remaining, Jae Delos Reyes nailed the final Colt TD on an aerial hit to Acoba good for 36 yards and the score. A successful PAT run accounted for the 26-0 showing.
Paul Oligo nailed two touchdowns to lead Kekaha Pee Wee to its 34-0 showing over the Kapa‘a Eagles.
Oligo opened the scorebooks on a 79-yard scoring romp at the 7:41 mark and nailed his second TD in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard charge.
Following the opening Oligo TD, Acetyn Emayo upped the ante in the final minute of the first quarter on a 39-yard run to the end zone with Errol Lanning booting the point-after for the 14-0 lead after one quarter.
Kawika Wellington ran back a fumble recovery 43 yards to put Kapa‘a on the board at the 3:50 mark. The PAT failed for the 14-6 showing.
With just 30 ticks showing in the half, Rull rifled a 4-yard pass to Lanning in the end zone for Kekaha’s TD. Lanning booted the point-after for a 22-6 halftime lead.
Following Oligo’s fourth quarter score, Rull upped the ante at the 5:41 mark on a 1-yard charge to paydirt for the 34-6 math.
Myron Manera ran for an 11-yard touchdown in the final period to keep the Lihu‘e Patriot Pee Wee squad from being shutout in its 14-6 loss to the Hanapepe Colts.
The Colts opened the books early as its defense forced a safety at the 5-minute mark in the first quarter. Derek Callejo found an 8-yard route into the end zone with less than a minute to play to give the Colts an 8-0 margin after the first quarter.
Kenneth Tacazon’s 30-yard runback of an interception yielded Hanapepe’s second TD that came with 49 seconds remaining in the half for the final accounting in its victory.
Daniel Alonzo broke out for a 61-yard scoot to the end zone to keep the Lihu‘e Patriots JPW team from a shutout as it dropped its match to the Hanapepe Colts, 14-6.
Mikey Rita nailed two touchdowns to lead the Colts in that victory, the first coming in the second quarter on a 25-yard carry and the second coming in the third quarter on a 62-yard breakout. A safety midway through the opening stanza figured in the final math.
