Swim Kaua‘i Aquatics will be hosting its second “Make A Splash” water safety clinic Saturday at the Kaua‘i High School pool from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and invites the public to take advantage of this free program to increase their knowledge and awareness of water safety.
The clinic will feature water safety demonstrations, swimming as well as other fun water events including the Swim Buddy relay races and splash contests.
The “Make A Splash” campaign by USA Swimming was started in response to the growing number of drownings and near-drownings that occur each year. Geared toward children and families, “Make A Splash” works to educate swimmers on the importance of proper swim instruction and water safety.
